UAF is the best gym!!! I have been consistently working out in Jon’s classes since 2020 and I have become so much stronger! Jon is always changing up the workouts with new moves and a great mix of strength and cardio. I’ve also improved my mobility and recently started barbell classes. Sunday kickboxing is a highlight! Jon knows when to push me that extra bit so that I keep seeing consistent improvements! UAF has a great community, excellent value for the monthly class pass, and a major bonus is that I can take classes online from home to fit into my work/personal schedule! Highly recommend!!

I have been coming to UAF for the last couple years and I love it! Jonathan is an amazing trainer. Each day has classes with a different focus (e.g. mobility, cardio, upper body, lower body) but even within the same types of classes, every class is different- which keeps things exciting. I’ve been intimidated by boot camp, strength training and kickboxing classes at other gyms before coming to UAF, but you’ll find a welcoming, nonjudgmental and supportive environment here. Jonathan is great at demonstrating exercises and will help modify exercises if you have an injury, etc. He’ll push and challenge you but he also keeps class FUN! His small group classes allow for lots of individual support and gentle correction to ensure proper form and avoid injury. Classes are for all levels and everything can be modified (e.g. you choose your weights and slowly work up to heavier weights). Whether you’re just getting back into exercise or an avid gym-goer looking to get even stronger, UAF is the place for you!

Jonathan is an excellent instructor!! I never imagined that I would be able to deadlift 230 lbs. I’ve gained so much strength and endurance after working out at UAF for 2 years. The best part is that the environment is super friendly and you feel like you’re part of the gym fam. I highly recommend for all skill levels 😊 (My favorite class is kettlebells)
