I have been doing ACL recovery with Britt (month 10). Britt has far exceeded my expectations in what I would have already rated 5 stars. I was looking for someone who works with athletes and doesn’t just try to get me functional again, but rather to be able to play at the top of my sport again. Her methods are always science-based and far more functional, intensive, and pushing right at the leading edge of my recovery, than any PT I have ever worked with.
I would highly highly recommend her to anyone for PT. I’ve seen many new patients come in to work with her and while I know the long road ahead, I’m always happy for them that they’ve found the best.
Especially if you’re an athlete, or you want to be at the best performance possible after your recovery, you need Britt.
10/10, contact her without hesitation!!
More details below!
I have heard of many ACL recovery PT stories where you do some leg presses, test quad strength and hopping, and are released when you pass some basic tests. In contrast, Britt uses expertise and broad and progressively more challenging data-based tests to find out exactly what we need to work on, and then she tunes her plan every day to push on those things.
Just one example of many. She does jump tests on VALD force plates. She was able to show me in the data collected, that while the force on my recovery leg was near equal, the deficit was in the speed of activation of the jump. This tells her that we’ve done a good job at force production (heavy quad exercises) but we need to work on reactivity and muscle recruitment.
I could go on forever, but since I don’t think I can do a separate review, I don’t want to forget Carlaine, their CPT. She and Britt help each other with patients. Her workouts are super high quality like Britt’s, and she relies on the same data and customized plans based on patient progress. I whine to her that she’s trying to kill me, but I actually love it and I get the best fitness results overall from both of them. It’s night and day compared to what I do on my own at the gym, and I’m an experienced weightlifter and athlete.
Also, their gym has *excellent* equipment:
* 1080 sprint (sprint with resistance)
* 1080 quantum (versatile racks with data every rep)
* Kaiser squat pro (force/velocity data every rep)
* Kaiser air runners
* Woodway sprint treadmills
* Full gym with every PT accessory imaginable
At a different PT, I could have been cleared months ago, but what they offer is so valuable, I’m absolutely going to keep working with them even after I am cleared for return to sport.
