Just an incredibly poorly run establishment. We've been members ever since the local Golds Gym went out of business, solely because its the nearest option for us. It's been a few years now, and we go regularly (4-6x per week). Please read the 1, 2 and 3 star reviews. These are the most truthful and accurate. Many of the better ones are posted only because TruFit gave away free stuff for posting 5 star reviews!Broken equipment. Saunas down for weeks (months) at a time. The weights are consistently spread out and seldom returned or organized. Dirty. Lack of soap or paper towels in the Men's Room. They've been promising a pool reopening for years, and had signs up stating it would open last Fall...still just a dirt hole. Permits weren't filed with the city, according to the embarrassing "Stop work" notice taped to the front door.I'm moving put of the area and sent in a cancellation request. I was concerned, based on their past reviews but my request was confirmed by their billing office. All good so far.3 weeks ago, I spoke with a Manager about extending another month. He said "No problem, I got it". I asked if I need to follow up or email someone. "Nope, I'm Corporate, will take care of it today". I haven't seen him in the past few weeks...Found out today I was NOT extended...and that Manager no longer works for Trufit. The joke of a GM says I can stay if I pay the (higher) single month rate. Basically I can join and pay as a new 30 day member. Gee, thanks, dude! I guess I'll go to Lions Den for the next 3 weeks. It's sad, because the locations are convenient (I used all in BCS and some in other cities as well) and there are some good employees there, such as Robert M., who runs classes at Villa Maria.
