After two years I'm getting discouraged about the state of the equipment and the complete lack of housekeeping. You're lucky to see paper towels or soap in the dispensers and every other treadmill is either not working or has a puddle of mystery liquid in the cupholder. The sprinklers on the ceiling are almost impossible to see under the thick dust layer. Literal rabbit sized pieces of coagulated human dander have decended from the ceiling during my workouts here. The ceiling also leaks when it rains- been that way since I joined and the solution is still "put a bucket down with a wet floor sign", so that sucks.
A lot of the machines are in poor condition- it seems like it took a year to get a knob replaced on one of the cable stacks. Good luck adjusting the leg stoppers for both of the lat pulldowns, because the inner plastic sleeve wore out before I joined almost two years ago. Leg extension needs to be wholesale replaced with a proper commercial machine that doesn't break every few weeks from normal use. Everyone hates this.
Thousand-yard Gen-Z stare from most of the very young staff at the desk. They'll ignore you struggling with the door that's locked 20 minutes earlier than it should be. That very same front entrance door will be wide open most weekends. The music is so bad here you'd think it's weaponized- you NEED noise cancelling headphones to drown out the music here. It's about 25 songs total on repeat shuffle.
They're 24/7 like PF, but have more free weights and a LOT of tripods. I notice a lot of people taking photos and videos in the bathroom here as well, despite the entire weight room being covered in mirrors and even featuring a separate, dedicated posing room for just this purpose.
Posting this because the screen on the treadmill asked me to. I don't hate the place but make no mistake, it's very dirty here and I'd rate the overall upkeep of this Derry location as a D-. The PF down the road isn't filthy at all and they're open 24/7 too.

EDIT (because Google doesn't let you leave multiple reviews via the same account, otherwise I'd leave another 1-star in a heartbeat):
I'm wondering what immediate steps have been taken to reinforce the rules regarding filming/photography, especially in sensitive areas like the locker rooms? Additional signage? Policy modification? Increased enforcement? The cameras in the locker room are out of control- I don't think you made a single change. Take that stupid mirror OUT OF THERE. Replace it with a BIG SIGN that says "NO FILMING NEAR THE URINALS". It's so crazy to have to spell this out.
As of 2/25/2026, the main entrance door is non-functional and does not allow access into the building after hours. The scanner beeps but the door does not physically unlock. I was going to just turn around and go home, but eventually someone came out of the building so I was able to get in. Totally piss poor when it's 20 degrees outside.
Neither of the paper towel dispensers in the men's locker room are functional. This is the case most evenings. It just makes a sound like a dying animal and gives you a 1" strip of the thinnest, cheapest possible material available.
Why does one of the treadmills always look like someone vomited on it? Not a single staff member sees this during the day and thinks to clean it? Nobody's manager or boss comes by and sees this? The next one over looks like some woman must have used it as a makeup dish. The entire tray where your cell phone goes is caked with some kind of eye shadow or other cosmetic crap that women smear on their faces.
The ceiling leaks have REALLY intensified, and now they've resorted to using tarps and hoses (along with the buckets) to control it. I don't care if this is your building manager's problem or who's problem it is- I know who's problem it isn't! Mine!
I recall the gym being closed for about a day, but that didn't involve cleaning the sprinklers (See photos) - This is years of buildup, not weeks to months. Large clumps of this crap can be regularly witnessed descending from the ceiling.
