Buyer beware. I joined this gym in hopes of beginning my new journey of weight loss. They first make you sign contracts and let you know what will be drafted from your account. My husband and I joined together. My draft was at the rate of $60.57, and his is at the rate of $37.88. All including tax. It is a bit steep for us, but it was close and really the only option as we had looked into the other gyms in Wimberley. I took advantage of the two free "meet with the trainer" sessions to which went well enough, but the trainer made recommendations to me and said he would send me a workout. It was like pulling teeth to get him to do what he offered to do. Once they know you're not going to spend money for the trainers, they have no time for you. I continued coming as I could to do cardio. While this gym has the equipment, it has no space, and the treadmills are unforgiving. One of the top two reasons I quit going was the lack of cleanliness of the entire gym. The times I would go, usually mid morning and not at all busy, the majority of the staff were cuttin up, looking at phones, talking about their weekend, eating, etc. and not wiping stuff down. I did witness Hunter and one other staff member (the young man with the curled up mustache) wipe treadmills down one time. The women's restroom floor was disgusting with hair and urine on the daily though. The shower is in a closet that both men and women have to share. Uh, NO! There is also a sink that men and women have to share that was constantly dirty and unkept. The teeny tiny stretching mat was an absolute mess as well. Dirt, lint, hair, mud, skin, sweat, dead bugs, and who knows what else based on what people tracked in. The mats provided that were hanging in the classes room looked like they haven't been wiped down since they bought them. I clean enough at home and don't wish to clean equipment before use at a gym. I would wipe down the treadmill and eliptical after each use, but that's it. Upon putting in my notice of cancellation which is/was a debacle to say the least, they continued to draft my account, even though I have proof of communicating with a "manager." Finally, I am at a gym that takes pride in their business and keeps ALL areas immaculately spic and span at ALL times. It is a bit far, but worth it. Working out and losing weight in a clean environment is crucial.
