I met Ryan about twelve years ago when he was a trainer at a commercial gym. He was running an eight week long weight loss program/contest that had participants log calories, track macros & workouts and meet up weekly to discuss how things were going. I found Ryans personal interest in each individuals progress to be refreshing. He genuinely cared and had great practical advice to help people stay on track and keep a positive outlook. After that, I signed up for personal training. When I told Ryan my goal was to deadlift 400 pounds, he responded with a [EXPLITIVE] YEAH! After about a year of training, my deadlift went from an ugly 225 lbs. to a solid, smooth 400. Mission accomplished! Then Ryan convinced me to sign up for a federally sanctioned powerlifting competition. Even though I was no longer officially training with him, he took his personal time to check in on me and give me some pointers to help me be at my strongest on the day of the event. He even went so far as to coach me and another competitor on that day. Thats the kind of guy he is. At the competition, I went 8 for 9 and hit personal records in two of the three lifts. I even took first place in my age group (I was 43 at the time)!I continued training on my own for a long while, but after about five years, I slipped a little off my pace. Another couple of years and the mandatory shutdowns sent me off the rails. Thats when I really slipped. I kept eating like a guy who worked out five days a week while becoming much less active. In 2024, a routine physical gave me a huge wake-up call. I was in desperate need of a lifestyle change and some guidance.I heard that Ryan opened a gym called Steadfast Strength, so I popped in to check it out. This time, my goals were way less exciting. Instead of wanting to deadlift 400 lbs., I told Ryan I needed to get my cholesterol and blood sugar in check. He was no less excited about helping. We started training a few days later. When I started with Steadfast in 2024, it was just Ryan. I could see that he had gained a tremendous amount of knowledge, experience and wisdom in those intervening years. There isnt really a topic related to diet, exercise or strength that he isnt at least familiar with and he is always willing to go down the rabbit hole of research to help you find the best path to achieve your goals. He is flexible with his time and can easily adapt to any injuries, ailments or personal issues you might have going on in your life. After only a few months of training at Steadfast, my blood sugar and triglycerides were back in the normal range (with no medical intervention) and every other marker was significantly improved. After a year, I had lost about thirty pounds of fat and gained over ten pounds of muscle. Im now in my third year of training at Steadfast, which has added a few new trainers who all bring a great balance of experience, expertise and personality to the gym. My favorite addition is Tyson, the rescue pup, who usually runs up to greet me when I walk through the door!So whether youre an athlete looking for an edge, a newbie just getting started, whether youre looking to make a positive lifestyle change for your health or getting back into the routine, Steadfast Strength can help you. There are no contracts. Everyone is as accommodating as they can be with scheduling. You dont just get one or two workouts a week with a trainer, you also get a weekly plan tailored to your schedule as well as dietary advice and body scans to check progress and stay accountable. Steadfast Strength is the best investment I have ever made in myself. I cant think of a business I would recommend more.
