Update 2/5:My email has the correct spelling. South Pas Fitness emailed to ask for feedback. I sent it. No answer. Sent to manager Josh. No answer. They put up signs with a QRC for feedback. I sent a message. No answer. Last week they painted the back room black and put in LEDS. Is this an upgrade?Heres my feedback email from September:What's going well:Your early hours are really great for me. So far, I have not taken group fitness classes but I plan to soon. The Lab looks so cool, I'd love to give one of the classes there a try. I love the variety of mobility equipment, including weighted med balls, swedish balls, straps, sliders etc. Those are great tools. I also love the good variety of machines and free weights. There's plenty of storage and everyone is respectful to one another. I love that this gym is welcoming to everyone and every body. I love that it is a no creep zone.Areas for improvement:1. Weight Dropping PolicyThe deadlift platforms have a sign stating a strict no weight dropping policy with video surveillance. However, I am seeing more and more clients do this so clearly there is no enforcement. Two members who are there every time I am have started routines where they drop weights. This happens now almost every morning 6-7:30a. It's only 2 people but I'm afraid more will start this annoying practice. Perhaps the policy has changed but I'm not sure. Because I am in the gym very early, I seek a calm atmosphere which is sometimes, unfortunately, disturbed by weight dropping. I have reported weight dropping on two occasions but I do not feel comfortable reporting every single time. It seems I am the only one bothered enough to report it. Please either enforce the policy or change it.2. The kettlebell selection is too small.I would like to see a more complete set of kettlebells. Currently there are mostly sets of heavy weight starting at about 25lbs and up. There is sadly only one 15lb, not a set, and it is so popular I have trouble getting it for my workouts. 2 more sets of 10-15 lbs kettlebells would be a great addition.3. Not enough squat racks. There aren't enough of these. Only when the gym is mostly empty can I rely on access to a squat rack. Many gym members hog those areas for several workout blocks for over an hour with dumb bells, step stools etc.4. Broken Treadmills.Lately, there are many treadmills that aren't fully functional. I had to switch to 3 different machines the other morning only to realize mid-run that mine did not have a functional incline button.5. Unknown weight of Trap and EZ curl bars. Many of these bars no longer have any indication of their weight. The standard barbell is a known weight so it's these other ones that are variable and should have signage.6. Leg curl and extension machine bench wearI was using these a couple months ago until I noticed that the bench is extremely worn within a few months time. I don't want to use it anymore because the torn material scrapes my skin.7. Please consider adding a Nordic curl bench. This bench would be a great addition to the gym. I used one at my physical therapy gym and it was great. These are hard to do alone without a special bench.8. Personal Training consultI was told that my membership included a consultation with one of your trainers but I never heard back from anyone about setting this up. It would be nice to have that service experience.9. Mismatched and disorganized barbell platesYour plates are from a variety of manufacturers and don't have an organized system for where each weight should go. Because of this it can take some searching to find a matched pair of plates.10. Evidence of poor cleaningI have noticed that smudges on mirrors are sometimes present for weeks at a time. This indicates to me that the gym isn't being thoroughly cleaned.I feel that because South Pas Fitness is a premium gym, there shouldn't be equipment issues like this.Hey, South Pas management, do you really care about my experience at your gym?
