Starla was extremely helpful and kind, but I felt like the owner was more interested in money than anything I had to say. After explaining that I had 3+ years of Crossfit experience, 4 years of formal lifting experience as a collegiate athlete, and a degree in Exercise Science, I was still asked to take a Crossfit foundations class (70 for one day just to prove I know the movements). That has never happened at any box I've joined or visited.Update: My experience isn't "years removed," as I still lift 4 days/ week, and it also hasn't been multiple years since I left my last box. That was a passive aggressive response. Also, while I told you my about past injuries in privacy, it was to inform you of a single lift that I am simply not willing to do in any gym (including your onboarding session). Never did I say I was flat out avoiding overhead work, nor does loss of knee cartilage limit me from performing any movements (which we also discussed).Keeping athletes safe and improving movement should be done in each class. A drop-in could have produced the same result. I understand that you want to preserve your reputation, but it's odd to me that your coach didnt seem to agree with you. If I was accepting, I would have gladly paid four days in advance, like you asked. I definitely will not be returning, but thank you.

This gym is awesome for helping you achieve your goals. And every single coach is so darn friendly and helpful. Love this place.
