I got a membership around 2024, and canceled it that same year. The actual membership process was very difficult; I had to go to the actual location, talk to the owner, sign my papers, and get my key fob. I loved the idea of a 24-hour gym; it's seldom busy. The entire time I went, I never saw more than five people at once, which is good because the gym is tiny, not in a bad way. Things were never quite right. I want to highlight the communication problems with this gym. I'll show examples as I go. First i never saw the owner or any staff again, and I worked out often at all times of day over the next 10 months. I saw equipment degrade and simply never be fixed. Many pads are ripped and taped over. I was excited to use the stair master that I had seen online, only to find the stairmaster didn't exist. Some reviews around the time say it just disappeared one day, recent reviews say it's come back. I'd imagine, though, that the reason no one has any idea what was going on with the stair master is that the owners are unable to communicate information to members. This is the most consistent problem. I brought a guest with me once. There were guest forms at the desk, and I would fill them out. Sensitive information like card info was on the form. I put it back in the paper stack, assuming staff would find it eventually. But a week later, my paper was still there, and then one day, it disappeared. I was never charged for my guest. You never really know what's going to happen. All gym information/forms, everything a guest needs access to, is at a vacant desk up front; all business is on paper. After a while i started to understand that this gym was more of an expensive hotel gym. I came less and less, and one day I arrived to find my keyfob was turned off. I still don't know what happened; all of my payments had been consistent, and I had not violated any rules. All the information I would need was inside the gym at that desk, the gym I was locked out of. I gave it until my next payment to see if maybe it was a simple payment error, but my keyfob never turned back on. First i called and emailed asking about my keyfob multiple times at all periods of the day over a few days, I left voicemails, tried every number I could find. I had absolutely no response; this 24-hour gym, "unstaffed" gym, seems to literally not have any staff. I was now paying for a gym membership for a gym I was unable to attend, so naturally, I canceled my membership. Or I tried to cancel my membership. Any information about my membership agreement was inside the gym I was locked out of, and so was the cancellation form. again i tried calling, emailing, doing everything I could to contact staff, once again, no response. I figured maybe they had canceled my membership on me for no reason, because by now my monthly payment time had come and gone. well a month AFTER this im once again charged. And then the yearly fee comes through. One last time, I tried to contact staff, but before I had to resort to calling my bank and disputing these charges. I found out later that my card was attempted to be charged for months and months after the fact. all of this for a dumbbell rack, 3 treadmills, a squat rack, and some basic benches and machines. Stay far away from the Pataskala location; other reviews share similar experiences. The gym seemed to be fine up until about 3-4 years ago. No idea what happened. now important to note: there was a total gap in communication on these reviews up until about a month ago, when suddenly all reviews from 4 years ago until now received responses that were somewhat more professional-looking than previous responses. Maybe somebody was hired at the Pataskala location, as a review has stated the stair masters are back. Regardless, avoid this gym; you will never know what's going on, and the gym is painfully average anyway.
