Saco Sport & Fitness

My husband and I decided to join Saco Sport & Fitness this past summer to help aid our personal fitness journeys but recently decided to cancel our memberships to try another local gym better suited to our personal needs.Here is my honest review:-PROS-- Options are plentiful: A lot of various weight equipment tailored to different focus areas on the body, various types of cardio equipment, classes to take and a lot of space (both indoor and outdoor) to get your workout in.- The sauna, basketball court, massage chairs and Theraguns are a nice, added touch.- The club has a lot of care and heart for personal health in addition to fitness and offer a lot of ways to aid you in that journey.-CONS-- On multiple occasions, club employees/cleaners would be vacuuming with cords under our feet or literally vacuuming UNDER OUR MACHINES while in use, even bumping into people that were working out from time to time. We found this to be pretty dangerous and had reported it in email surveys before.- On one occasion, unacceptable club employee behavior towards me was reported to management (and promptly handled) but never should have happened in the first place.- There is A LOT of unregulated activity on the gym floor, namely the weight room - a lot of people on their phones for long periods of time without working on a set, weights being left on machines/not put away correctly/left on the floor, loud discussions happening across the gym floor and on numerous occasions, basketballs would come flying or rolling into the weight room area from the gym - posing a danger as well.There are no hard feelings at all with us deciding to leave SS&F and try something new, but I wanted to share my honest review of the club.If you are looking for a reasonably priced (compared to other clubs in the area) local gym that has a family-teen friendly atmosphere with a lot of workout options/classes/fitness and health aids, SS&F may be the place for you, but there's always items that can be improved/tweaked to make it a more desirable club for future and current members!
