I have been attending boxing and muay thai classes here for going on 4 weeks now. I'm a beginner southpaw who recently had abdominal surgery about 11 weeks ago. I'm also a woman, but I experience no differential treatment on or off the mat in that regard. They have no issue making accommodations for me due to my surgery and taking a few seconds to show something in southpaw stance. My partners, men and women alike, have been as understanding and patient as the coaches. I just communicate my needs and limitations. It is not lost on me the effort it takes to teach a beginner southpaw under my conditions. I appreciate every coach I have had the pleasure of interfacing with: Coach Pedro, Coach Nick, Coach Agustino, and Coach Todd. Allie and Ricky are wonderful people. I know that I make an effort to say thank you to them before leaving class, but they deserve beyond that. Thank you for investing in me as much as I am investing in you and myself. If you're debating on if this place is beginner-friendly or women-friendly, you have my word that my experience has been nothing but that. I'm willing to be your partner so long as you're willing to go up against a southpaw! It takes patience and grit, no excuses!
