Review for Revival Fitness I'm writing this review to share my recent and highly disappointing experience with Revival Fitness. I joined this gym because of its 24-hour access. I expected a seamless transition from my previous, well-maintained and professional gym. However, after attending 14 times in the past 16 days of becoming a member, I was met with a deeply concerning and unprofessional encounter that has made me question the safety and values of this establishment. Today, I was contacted by a staff member who informed me of a dress code policy, specifically stating that women are not allowed to wear sports bras on the main gym floor. While I appreciated being informed, I was immediately taken aback as I knew I had not violated this policy. I asked if this was a general announcement, or if it was directed at me. She clarified that it was about the top I was wearing that morning. This workout set, from Aerie by American Eagle, has been a staple in my gym wardrobe for over seven years and has never been an issue in numerous other public places, including far more elevated and professional gym environments throughout the nation. It’s supportive and completely covers my cleavage and back, only exposing my arms, collarbone and neck, and a space in my mid section, while being paired with high waisted full length legging to match. It’s a modest supportive gym set made for curvy women. The staff member's tone was not only sharply unprofessional but also completely unpersonable. It was clear that the employees own personal judgment/insecurities were in control at this point. I always expect feedback to be delivered kindly and politely; this was an attacking attempt that over-sexualized my beautiful body and shamed me for it. This was my first and only interaction with the staff, and to be singled out and objectified not in person, but through a phone call regarding camera footage, is a serious problem… The situation was made even worse when I called back to express my concerns. I was told that I was permitted to wear whatever I wanted in the Women-only room. This policy further emphasizes a troubling issue: instead of addressing potential sexual harassment and creating a safe/empowering environment for all members on the main floor, the gym appears to be avoiding the problem by segregating women. This is not a solution to that; it's an admission that the gym is not a safe space for women to utilize the entirety of the facilities they pay for. It's truly unfortunate that in 2025, a gym would choose to police women's attire rather than create a mature, respectful environment for everyone by everyone. This experience highlights a significant lack of professionalism and a disturbing approach to safety and equality. I have not experienced any issues with other members at this point, and it is incredibly disheartening that the only form of harassment or objectification I've encountered came directly from the staff. I cannot in good conscience recommend Revival Fitness to any local woman looking for a safe and respectful place to exercise. Unfortunately this gym is my only option for the moment and I pray that this feedback will influence a serious change. However, the lack of professionalism and the clear disregard for women's safety is a serious problem. I am disappointed that this town does not have a better 24-hour option that prioritizes the well-being and empowerment of all its members. Overall Rating: 1 out of 5 stars.
