Amazing gym with amazing trainers. The small group classes are worth the extra charge. The trainers really take the time to work with your specific needs and modify the class based on your goals. I was never big on working out at the gym and now I can’t miss a day!!! This is the only gym I have stuck with because of the staff and trainers.

My wife and I have been members of most of the gyms in Astoria, and they all offer something different. Lately we’ve had some very disappointing experiences (dirty, smelly, loud, poorly managed) We love this Powerhouse gym because it’s clean and quiet ( the vibe is boutique without the pretense) and the owner Debbie and her staff are professional and attentive. This gym seems to attract members who are bright and highly educated and serious about their workouts and are mostly very considerate regarding gym etiquette The downside (there’s always a downside) is parking is tough if you drive, otherwise it’s the bomb. Members are cooperative, courteous and share the equipment. For the equipment, the staff, the cleanliness and the quiet.( most gyms nowadays feel the need to play bad music way too loud). A great workout environment and a very pleasant experience. We love it

I’ve been part of a handful of gyms. Here on Maui and in the mainland. I’ve had memberships at 24, EOS, Planet, LVAC but none made me feel comfortable, and or gave me the confidence that I’ve gained here. It’s more than equipment and weights, it’s the ‘ohana’ feeling from the friends you make and the people who work here too.
BIG shout out to Pete and Logan, they are so down to earth and make this gym the success it is. I’ve had so many highs here as well as lows, but they were always here for me. What other gym has this kind of atmosphere? So much love for this gym and it’s people.
