I wanna start with the fact that I’ve seen many workers during my two years plus at planet fitness and every single one of them except for one in those two has been extremely nice and respectful not only up front at the scan in area but also during confrontation but the newer manger alex is the only person in my time at planet fitness that i have never seen upbeat or positive towards me or anyone i know it seems that he has animosity towards the teenage gym goers. Ive had many interaction with him and he has never said have a good day or have a good workout on my way in or out of the gym. Every other member makes sure to say have a good one while im leaving it also seems than the younger workers who are honestly nicer and more respectful get held to a higher standard than alex ive seen many complaints but his actions have not changed nor has his position I’ve been to many other gyms and never had a more unpleasant interaction than i have with him people i know have been confronted by him vs the other female manger and it is a complete different story the female manager is extremely more respectful and even more active at her job she also seems to genuinely enjoy her position and the community of the gym while alex doesn’t even try to build relationship with any of the members instead he does not listen to the members when he is confronting them and it seems like a superiority thing and I did not want to have to be rude, but in my 3+ years total of lifting two years at planet fitness i’ve never seen a more rude and disrespectful worker than Alex. I’ve never seen someone that looks like they hate their job as much as Alex and I’ve never even been confronted about the way I lift besides with Alex.
