I had a great experience at this Planet Fitness. The place was clean and I felt like the staff was really friendly. The equipment was well organized. I had some questions about the gym and its policies and the manager Emily Rosado was a great help. Her bright personality made it comfortable for me to be in a gym I don’t normally go to. I’ve been coming to this Planet Fitness for years, and honestly, it used to be a solid place to work out. Clean. Organized. Chill vibe. You could get in, focus, and actually train. Since the new equipment, though, it feels like the supervision disappeared. The place now runs like a zoo. Weights are all over the floor. Dumbbells left everywhere. Plates scattered. Coats and gym bags tossed across benches and machines like it’s a living room. It’s chaotic. During the busiest time of the evening, there’s zero structure. The front desk staff are busy chatting with members while non-members walk in unchecked. Meanwhile, people are sitting on machines scrolling their phones, not working out, just occupying space. Monroe students come in gangs play fighting. U only single them out because they are wearing Monroe gear. And here’s the part that really blows my mind: you have people grabbing three different sets of weights, not even for proper superset, but to stack them and do random upside flips and circus tricks in the middle of peak hours. That’s not training. That’s a lawsuit waiting to happen. There used to be a sense of etiquette here. Now it feels like there are no standards. No one re-racks. No one wipes down. No one monitors anything. This is no longer the nice, structured environment it once was. It’s a disappointing turnaround. Planet Fitness, you can do better.
