I have been a member of OrangeTheory for almost two years and recently completed my 250th class, which should show how much I have genuinely enjoyed being part of this community. I love the 2G classes, the coaches, and the friendships Ive made through this studio. The workouts themselves are great, which is why I pay for the unlimited membership and previously attended 45 times per week. However, recently there have been some changes that have made the experience frustrating.I schedule my workouts at least a week in advance and plan my weekly routine around those class times. Typically, weekday classes are 2Gs, with 3Gs mostly on weekends, which makes sense. The issue I have been experiencing is that classes I signed up for as 2Gs are being changed to 3Gs, often very close to the class time.Within the last two weeks alone, this has happened three times, including Tuesday (03/02) when I did not know the class had been changed until I arrived at the studio. That class was switched to a 3G for only a few additional people, which was frustrating given that members plan their workouts around the structure of the class. What makes this more confusing is that I can see morning classes with significantly longer waitlists (58 people) that are not being converted to 3G, while afternoon classes are being changed quickly. If the policy is to convert classes based on waitlist demand, it should be applied consistently and fairly across all class times.I understand the desire to accommodate more members, and I recognize that nearby studio closures may have increased attendance. However, communication and consistency are keyespecially for members who pay a premium monthly membership and plan their schedules around these workouts. If I wanted a 3G class, I would sign up for one. I specifically choose 2G classes because of the workout structure, and it is frustrating to arrive expecting one format and have it changed unexpectedly.I truly enjoy OrangeTheory and the community here, which is why I am taking the time to share this feedback. I hope the studio leadership can address the communication and consistency around class format changes, because I know I am not the only member who feels this way.
