I have been a member of Orangetheory for over 8 years now - and have been coming to the SoPo studio almost exclusively for about the last 7 years - ever since they opened their doors!!There are many gym options out there and the most important thing is finding the one that best suits your personality and physical goal needs. For me, there is nothing that beat OTF!First of all, I love that the workouts are one hour long and include a warm up, strength training with weights, cardio training with treads (bikes or striders) and rowing, and end with a cool down. It feels so good to cover all the major bases in one hour. And the workouts vary from day to day with focuses on Endurance, Strength, and Power.Secondly, I love the community I have found there. I am a regular at the 7:15 classes during the week. There are so many faces that have become friends. Working out together day in and day out - you just form bonds as you laugh and groan together as you work through the exercises and cardio. Also, it's worth mentioning that the SA's that greet you each time you walk into the studio makes you feel so welcome (shout out to Erika G and Jeremiah!).Finally, the coaches here really make a difference. Not only are they there to help guide you through the templates, correct your form with the weights, encourage you to push harder, but they also often times provide so much comic relief while you a working out - it just makes a hard class still be a good time! If you are a regular who has a set schedule - these coaches start to feel more like friends than just the person telling you to push harder. The day that I have started with Erica, Emily or Ryan are always better than the days I skip!If you are looking for a new gym that will challenge you and hold you accountable with a class based structure and a real community - give OTF a chance! I bet you'll love it!
