I recently started coming back to this gym location and chose it again because its typically less busy than the Tech Center location. I also want to highlight that the front desk staffespecially Cori and the three gentlemen who work nightshave been consistently warm, welcoming, and professional, even during late hours when I usually arrive.However, I did have a negative experience on 3/25 that I feel should be addressed. I arrived after 8:30 PM with a friend Im usually accompanied by. As we walked in, there was a group gathered near the barcode scanner. While I was scanning in, my friend walked slightly ahead past the group and was loudly yelled at by a staff member to come back and scan.We fully understand the importance of scanning in and have no issue doing sowe both have active memberships and always follow that process. This appeared to be an honest mistake due to the crowding near the entrance, not an attempt to bypass check-in.I later found out that the individual who addressed her this way was the manager Joesph Barbur, which made the interaction more concerning. There are more appropriate and respectful ways to communicate with members in these situations. The tone and approach used felt unnecessarily harsh, especially compared to the consistently positive experiences weve had with the rest of the staff.Im sharing this feedback in hopes that it can be addressed, as professionalism and respectful communicationespecially from managementmake a big difference in the overall gym experience.
