Mission Hills Racquet and Swim Club

The coaching style is very harsh and not very supportive for younger players. My daughter, who is 14 and in orange ball, has been treated differently because she is taller and older than most of the group. Instead of giving clear, constructive feedback, the coaches sometimes make comments that feel like they are making fun of students rather than helping them improve. There have also been moments where students felt unfairly blamed or yelled at without clear explanation of what they should improve. I think more patience, clearer instruction, and more positive reinforcement would help create a better learning environment for young players and older ones on beginner levels.

My son and I have been attending Coach Pierres parent-toddler lessons for about a year. The lessons have provided my (now) 3.5 year-old with the skills to safely and confidently enjoy being in water.Pierres program has been following a well structured progression. But, it has never felt rushed - there has never been a single lesson where course structure was prioritized over my sons interests. For instance: my son has strong kicks, but was hesitant to put his face in the water. So, Pierre taught him other aspects of swimming - such as blowing bubbles, monkey crawls etc; and one day, when my son was OK with putting his face in the water, it felt like a light bulb moment - he suddenly knew all the other skills required for swimming.Coach Pierre is very friendly and patient with my son. He makes the lessons as much fun as possible by giving my son a lot of encouragement, toys and swimming-props.The pool is well maintained and kept comfortably warm all the time. We ended up signing up for swim membership - which allows us to use the pool even outside the class hours.
