I had the worst experience with this particular location. I paid over 3000 for the membership after signing the contract, even after emailing them multiple times and asking the front desk to cancel it. They refused to provide me with the correct cancellation instructions and kept charging me until I figured it out. As a result, I received a letter from a debt collection agency. Be cautious of this scam when signing the contract and paying the cancellation fee for the membership.Keep the money as donations to get some better equipments which they have been using it since golds gym.

They will try and tell you there is a 50 cancellation fee. False. They are thieving.

They continuously have entire sets of amenities shut down, and once repaired they are immediately closed again. Instead properly fixing their hot tub, which is a large part of why we joined, they filled it in and placed potted plants on top of it.While it was max fitness, accounts were contract based, once Fitlife took over, it clearly states on their website that accounts are month-to-month, and cancellation is as simple as putting in a request for it and then waiting out your 30 day notice. If you go in to speak to management however, they will tell you that that is not the case, and will instead try to squeeze and extra 50 out of you on top of the 25% of your remaining contract. If their management had had the sense to think about it, they would have realized I would be paying more to just do the cancellation how their website explains it, instead he sat in his torn apart office (actually just a back room that is in disrepair) and acted like he could care less about dealing with any part of speaking with me, and tried to justify why even though it is what the new ownership website explains, that's not the case.The manager comes across as unprofessional, arrogant and rude. Most of the other staff has been fine for years, but it feels like even more of what people love about Aiken has gone away as yet another corporate buyout moves into our community.
