My frustration is the same as that of many other women. I believe this is the only gym Ive ever attended that doesn't have a single hip thrust machine. You try to make do using the fixed squat bar instead, but that presents another problem: there is only one of them. Some women show up and simply won't let it gosometimes they just sit there on the machine, glued to their phones. I think the gym should consider adding more equipment specifically for glute training and help raise awareness among members that we all pay the same fees; we need to be able to use the machines, too, rather than having to wait until others get tired of scrolling through their phones.

The pictures are lies because there is no pool or jacuzzi (supposedly Fairfax county issues), the fans above are unsafe and wobbly, members leave their bags or stuff around the weight area like they are homeless people claiming station, the weights and accessories are scattered all over place, their is no smoothie area (closed permanently) the lockers knobs are bent and make difficult to lock them, they lack on weight supplies and maintenance on the machines and finally the staff just sit around and ignore the gym by not cleaning up or return equipment accessories. Clearly management here is run by childish mangers.

I had a terrible experience at this gym. I recently moved back to the area and was looking for another gym membership to supplement my DMV Iron membership so I could occasionally lift with friends. The first thing I tried to do when I walked in was sign up for the online free pass to check out the facility before committing.Right from the start, the manager I spoke with was extremely rude. He immediately told me I couldnt get a a trial pass even though their website offered them because I had a membership about a COUPLE years ago. I explained that it was at a completely different location years ago and that I had never been to this specific gym before. I simply wanted to check out the facility before deciding whether to join.Instead of being helpful, he insisted I couldnt get a free pass and that I had to pay 20 for a day pass. That made absolutely no sense to me why would anyone sign up for a membership without being able to see the specific location first?The interaction only got worse. After draining much of my own effort and attention, the manager demanded my license information, so I showed him a photo of it. When he put it into the system, it clearly showed that it had been multiple years since my last visit to any LA Fitness. Their own policy is that free passes are restricted if youve received one within the last 67 months. Since that obviously didnt apply to me, instead of acknowledging it, he suddenly started making up new excuses and then accused me of photoshopping my license because the photo was slightly blurry. That accusation was honestly shocking and completely unprofessional. I have absolutely no reason to fake an ID just to check out a gym.On top of the terrible customer service, the facility itself was disappointing. There was visible dust on the ceilings, stains around the gym, mold in the air vents, broken machines, and no cleaning wipes available for equipment. There also seemed to be no air conditioning just a bunch of fans blowing around warm air.Ill happily be going back to my DMV Iron gym where the staff are actually professional and respectful. The difference in how members are treated is night and day.Frankly, this manager is very lucky Im choosing not to escalate this situation further given the way I was treated being lied to about policies and then accused of photoshopping my ID was completely unacceptable. Overall, one of the worst gym experiences Ive had. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
