Told me they were going to charge me one time because I was there for a month! Charge me a high fee and on top of that decided to charge me every month! Cant trust any of these guys!Also machines are a bit old!

I signed up for what I was told was a one-month flat rate of 59.98. I explicitly told the sales rep (Employee ID: 10135546) that I was visiting from New Jersey for only 20 days and only needed a one-month membership. He consulted with his manager and came back with a flat rate never mentioning any recurring charges or annual fee.Turns out I was enrolled in a recurring monthly membership with a 69 annual fee buried in the contract. The rep told me to sign only specific lines without walking me through the terms.When I called the club to resolve it, the rep hung up on me. I disputed with Amex but LA Fitness used the signed contract to win the dispute. Ive since filed a complaint with the BBB.If youre signing up here, read every single line of the contract yourself do not trust what the sales rep tells you verbally.

When I canceled my membership with Andrew, he confirmed that it was fully processed and that no further charges would occur, but the charges continued. When I returned, they refused to issue a refund unless I could provide proof of cancellation, which is unreasonable given that cancellations are only available in person. If you do decide to go here and later want to cancel, I recommend handling it directly through your bank. The staff here are not reliable and the owner(s) follow shady business practices.For how much LA Fitness charges in monthly, annual, and initiation fees, the quality is also VERY disappointing. The machines are old and often either out of service or shaky. Every time I have used their bathrooms it has always been with bad smells, trash on the floor, and something on the seats. They dont seem to be cleaned regularly.I DO NOT RECOMMEND LA FITNESS!
