I love the varieties of classes and equipments. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Experienced unprofessional behavior by staff at front desk. My family member, who regularly attends Zumba classes, had a "Single with Add On" membership, yet was recently pressed by the staff that they aren't allowed to bring a plus one. After CORRECTLY bringing up that plus ones have been allowed and have ALWAYS been allowed (literally saw another person walk in with a plus one during this incident), they were still disrespected and turned away. Instead of referring to the policy on the website and letting the person know of this "new policy" that In-Shape apparently had about plus-ones, the staff excused it as another employee's work and "out of their control" that the other person walked in unscathed. I would encourage the manager to strictly enforce this "new policy" if it really was an issue, and if not, there might be underlying profiling or biases in staff that must be investigated.

Unprofessional and rude service. Instead of front desk staff explaining guest policy, they acted as if my guest and I were stupid. After escalating to the manager, we were shocked at even worse behavior from management. When I went to talk to my friends about the incident, I learned that this is not an isolated experience. Considering that all of us are people of color, I'd love to know what the real reasoning is. This was a disappointment since we have been going for the past five years, and I'd like to get some clarification on why this location is so comfortable with discriminatory behavior.
