Functional Integrated Training

I found FIT through a promotion for a two-week trial, and I wasnt sure what to expect. Im in my 60s, Ive been working on some health issues, and I hadnt been to a gym in years. I was very aware of the benefits of strength training. It just seemed super intimidating and beyond my reach. I had to muster up courage just to walk in the door and face possible embarrassment.It turns out it was okay that I knew absolutely nothing, because the coaches are universally excellent and eager to help. I felt very welcome in this space members are all ages and abilities.My goals are pretty simple (be able to do things / travel / keep up for the next 20-ish years). Five months into my membership, I can tell Im stronger and my balance has improved. A few weeks ago, I saw a new doctor, and during the exam he commented, youre really strong! Nothing could have made me happier, and I couldnt wait to tell Sam (who puts together my training programs). I wouldnt have made this progress without the guidance Ive received from him and the rest of the FIT team.Weirdly enough, Im now a person who looks forward to picking up increasingly heavy things. I highly recommend this place if you want to take your training to the next level whether youre already lifting, or (like me) starting from zero. Just do it!

The pandemic pulled me away from FIT in 2021, and I quickly found that without a scheduled commitment a specific time and place I had to be I couldn't stay consistent on my own. Returning last August has been transformative.My primary trainer Taytum has been fantastic: workouts are genuinely challenging but never intimidating. The whole team Sam, Matt, Rachel, and Shawn keeps a close eye on form so you get real results without getting hurt.The numbers speak for themselves: I went from squatting 10 lbs in August to squatting 95 lbs today. I've put on a little muscle, but a few people have asked if I've lost weight. My headaches have dramatically decreased thanks to better posture and less neck strain, and lifting children at my preschool job is effortless now.I have not missed a 5:30 AM Monday/Wednesday/Friday workout unless I was sick or traveling. The structure and accountability FIT provides is the real deal. Highly recommend to anyone who thrives with a set schedule and a supportive, knowledgeable team.
