I had a deeply disappointing experience at this Equinox location that completely contradicts the luxury gym image they promote. I left my sweater unattended for literally five minutes, only to come back and find it gone. While I understand personal responsibility plays a role, whats unacceptable is the complete lack of systemsor even basic culturearound protecting members belongings. For a gym that charges such high membership fees, I expected a level of security and accountability that simply isnt there. There is little to no visible enforcement of respect among members when it comes to personal property, and staff response was underwhelming at best. No meaningful attempt was made to investigate, assist, or follow up. It felt brushed off as a normal occurrencewhich, after doing some research, unfortunately seems to be the case.Ive since come across multiple accounts of members having far more valuable items stolen, lockers tampered with, and receiving little to no support, compensation, or accountability from management. That is extremely concerning for a facility positioning itself as premium. To make matters worse, the already steep membership cost doesnt even cover basic amenitiesyoure expected to pay additional, frankly exorbitant fees for things like the sauna. At that point, what exactly are we paying for?Equinox markets itself as an elevated, high-end fitness experience, but in reality, it fails to provide even the baseline sense of security and respect that should come with that price point. Until they implement real measures to protect members and hold people accountable, its hard to justify staying.
