They did not tell me that this place is going to be shut down forever and still try to convince me to get a membership

This review refers to Crunch in WeHo. I joined the gym a few days ago via my insurance plan. I love the equipment and facility, however other gym users notified me that the gym is shutting down after March 31, 2026. Strange, given my consultation on Jan.26, 2026 with Tara, the Senior General Manager, made no mention of this closure.During the sales pitch, I notified Tara that I am using insurance to access gyms on a month-to-month basis. She continued to push hard to get me onto a one-year contract (outside of my insurance plan) for less than the monthly fee I'd pay through insurance. She neglected to tell me that the gym would close in March. At the time, I found her extremely pushy and walked out on the meeting. Now that I am hearing the gym will close next month, I feel the pitch Tara made was akin to fraud, while she was certainly aware the gym would be shutting down at the time of our meeting on January 26, 2026. Surely she could have accepted that I would use my insurance plan while she knew the product she was selling would not be available for the year-long contract she was pushing?Because I do like the gym equipment, I will continue going here until the end of March, via my month-to-month insurance coverage. But I do not recommend interacting with management at Crunch gyms, as they are not honest with their clients.

I have been a member of Crunch for over two decades and so this review is long overdue, and somewhat untimely since its doors are closing. But before that happens, it needs to be known that Crunch is a not your run-of-the- mill ordinary place to work out, its a life style. These classes have shaped not just my fitness level- but my mindset as well- whether its Mercys yoga, Lyra or pole dancing, Colins spin - which theres forever a waitlist for because hes part DJ/part guru, Heinz whose taught martial arts for years and has perfected those drills into a 60 minute workout (that feels like 30) Dimitrius whose dance classes are FIERCE and performance worthy. I cant stopAndrew who combines interval and strength training with music that transports you. I could go on and on and on- Ellie, Amy, Christina, Cho, Tommy -every teacher there somehow managed to create the perfect experience, and Crunch never felt like you were working out, but rather a party with workout equipment. Crunch attracts the best people, the most talented teachers and a colorful yet athletic clientele of diehard enthusiasts. Its energy has spilled out into Weho and without it - Weho will suffer. Without it, we all will. Crunch is that 3rd Space everyone wants to belong to- and I feel lucky to have found it.
