Not to be dramatic, but CrossFit Geronimo changed my life! I walked through the doors for the first time 5 months ago on the verge of turning 40, completely terrified & at my unhealthiest. I never did CrossFit, never lifted heavy, never played a sport in my life! From day one this artsy misfit weirdo girl was welcomed, encouraged, and educated about how to become a better, stronger person or - dare I say it - athlete. I went from a lifetime of dreading physical activity to becoming obsessed & honestly addicted to Crossfit! The WODs are fun but they are HARD (in the best way possible). We are challenged & supported by an incredible team of coaches who always guide & motivate us to get stronger. And the community! Never in my life have I ever felt so much a part of a better community. It feels more like family. So many of these athletes are a thousand times stronger & faster than me. They see me sometimes at my worst - on the verge of tears, at my slowest, through my failures, and never once have I felt belittled or judged. And because of being surrounded by so many inspiring & encouraging athletes & coaches, I have gotten so much stronger - physically AND mentally - than I ever could have imagined! And we’ve only just begun. 🥹 I feel so blessed to be a part of this community. It’s something truly special & priceless & downright magical. Thank you forever and ever for always helping be become a better, healthier person, and - AHEM! - ✨athlete,✨ CrossFit Geronimo!
