Around October last year, I decided to get a Bay Club Membership in Santa Monica. They’re not cheap – my plan costs $199 per month – but I can honestly say it’s worth every penny. I’ll let you in on the details in this post.

What is Bay Club?

Bay Club Customer Reviews

Here are some of the things people are saying about Bay Club:

Matt M.

Los Angeles, CA

The trainers and staff that I interacted with were all knowledgeable, patient, and fun. I’ve only had positive experiences with them. Big shoutout to Micheal for helping my rehab my shoulder after I dislocated it. After about 6 sessions (1 per week), I was able to get back to 90% range of motion and usability. I started rock climbing shortly after we finished, so hopefully that gives you a good idea about how much he helped me.

I’m a young professional and it seems most of the members are either from the Water Gardens and/or in an older demographic… which is pretty great. I was able to regularly catch up with people closer to my parents’ age and develop a sense of community.

Eric has always been helpful when I had requests/questions and is a great person as well. I only saw him working with his team in a positive and professional manner.

Thanks for taking care of me!

Redondo Beach, CA

I’ve been a member for a while. Whenever I come late at nights there’s always an employee who’s extra friendly and goes out of his way to say hi. Whenever it’s closing time he cleans up well and leaves the gym tidy. I asked him his name and it’s Daniel G. It’s nice to see that’s there’s still good employees hard workers around this day and age!

BC San Francisco Greenwich is a must see location! They have some of the best classes and instructors throughout! Specifically I want to callout Romina’s pilates class, David’s ignite, and my favorite yet, Israel’s fight class! Everyone has been a great support in my personal fitness journey.

Romina – Amazing personality, pace, and naturally balanced focus on bettering individual performance and pushes my LIMITS. Always feel lighter / centered after.

David – Amazing technique and experience, explained in beginner/intermediate friendly way so anyone at any age can join!

Israel – Has the BEST fight classes available M/W. His high energy and positive enthusiasm make the BEST workouts. Strength, Cardio, and laughs will be had. Music selection is TOP TIER and you will be tested. I will bring all newcomers to this one in particular. One can immediately notice he makes an effort with all newcomers and veterans alike. Do know know where I would be without him!

Thanks for keeping these classes / instructors – they are the best!!

Is Bay Club Worth It?

Personally, I am very happy with my membership at Bay Club. It’s expensive yes, but definitely worth it. The “club” is beautiful and the amenities are impressive. It has that exclusive feel, similar to being in a high end golf club. Plus you get to socialize with other like-minded individuals, those who live active lifestyles.

Shared memberships are great for Bay Club because the price is cheaper compared to an individual plan so if you can find other people to join your “group” the price becomes less prohibitive.
