This was my first time at the Tribeca studio and I ended up leaving with an injury - the actual Red Room is extremely cramped, with poor acoustics and a mirrored column in the middle of the room that makes it difficult to see the instructor and a bit disorienting.I usually do double floor because I cant run and this location had 2 spots only that were flush to the treadmills. There were 3 rows of floor spots, which honestly was too much - the dude in front of me had his bench right up against the column, and it was almost impossible for him to do some of exercises. Meanwhile his feet were nearly in my face - the instructor had to step over his feet and then mine also while pacing the room.During the 3rd set of exercises, we went into burpees and my whole right foot went into the treadmill behind me, and scraped up my Achilles really bad. I had to leave the room and the guy at reception was really nice and kind and helped me with bandages and gauze and Neosporin as well as refunding the class, but it was bloody and gross. This did not feel like the first time this had happened. I had to Uber home and I am basically having to limp around for at least the next few weeks.That being said, the instructor was great and one that offered modifications, previewed each exercise, and took the time to meet new comers! This was just super unfortunate and it feels like they just crammed as many spots as they could into the room, meanwhile the locker room only has 2 showers for a class with upwards of 40 people. I have not felt this cramped at other studios.

Really enjoy classes at this Barrys location. Teachers are great. Classes are for all levels, but it could be very challenging if you havent worked out before or arent used to HITT style workouts. What I would say about Barrys in general is that youll only see a difference in your body composition if you push yourself to progress in weight/ speed, and attend class regularly. Ive been taking classes at this location for 4+ years and have seen a real difference in my strength and endurance.
