JOIN AT YOUR OWN RISK. MANAGEMENT IS EXTREMELY AGRESSIVE, UNPROFESSIONAL, AND DESPERATE.I joined Anytime Fitness, Blue Springs, MO, a few months ago. It was one of the biggest regrets of my life. Upon joining, their manager named Miguel was undoubtedly the most aggressive and unprofessional managers I have ever had to deal with. I will explain why.I had noticed that my bank account was being charged twice per month. I called and spoke with Miguel at the Blue Springs location to simply ask if I could be billed once a month so it could be easier for me to keep track of, financially. Rather than being greeted with cordial and kind service, he instantly behaved malicious, sarcastic, and aggressively. He said, "You signed a contract, therefore we are going to have to insist that you be billed twice per month until your contract is ended." More than that, have you ever dealt with someone who coveys a disrespectful tone, but somehow feels like he's justified by ending each sentence with "Thank you", when he knows that he's clearly talking over you and treating you disrespectfully so he can say that he's being professional, and doing everything correct because he's following "policy"? If you have ever had to deal with someone like that, you know exactly what I mean.I spoke to two managers in Anytime Fitness locations in other cities, and explained to them how Miguel responded. Theses managers told me that he was out of line, and that if I had been a member at their location, working with me to consolidate my bill into one easier payment would have been simple. It was as if Miquel was acting in a vengeful manner.Later, I relocated to a different city, and was forced to cancel my membership. Miguel emailed me and called me aggressively as if he was a collection agency. He talked over me saying I needed to send absolute proof that I had moved. He said I was required to send him private documents to reveal to him banking institution proof and utility records. (I mean we are talking about a fitness gym manager coming down hard, calling, emailing, pursuing aggressively to demand personal records and official personal documentation. Seriously?)If I were an owner of a business and I had found out that I had a manager treating my customers in this manner, he would be fired immediately for unprofessional conduct. So I ask Anytime Fitness, just what kind of reputation do you want?
