It is very annoying that people bring a speaker and play music at full volume, and the management does nothing about it. This should not be acceptable. That’s what headphones are for. I will be canceling my subscription.

Following up on the fraudulent, infuriating experience talking with the staff member recently as I try to recover the membership dues I've already paid. Active and Fit Direct took January membership dues at the end of December 2025, but I've been denied use of the gym for which I paid. I would like to restate that the gym apparently has no intention of removing themselves from the Active and Fit Direct program that reimburses them for the memberships booked and paid at their gym. This action of unlisting their gym from the program might start to the hundreds of dollars that people continue to pay, entitling them to a membership at this gym that has unilaterally decided to stop honoring. Effectively, this gym is fleecing the potential members of their dues and the Active and Fit Direct program of whatever financial incentive they receive from the program. They are receiving the incentive from Active and Fit AND not taking the members for which they are reimbursed. The thug that stonewalled me during our interaction had a list of multiple other people that had come in to administratively activate their paid membership. I wasn't the first in January and I probably am not the last as I went in on the 4th to activate my membership. He offered for me to pay for a full-priced membership - on top of what I already paid for a membership through the discount program. Active and Fit Direct incentivizes gyms to be listed on their program. The staff member stated that I might be able to join in March under the program if I joined a waitlist. I have to assume scenario envisioned by this young man is that I would pay 3 months of membership through Active and Fit direct to cross my fingers and hope that this Anytime Fitness will POSSIBLY, arbitrarily allow me to access my membership entitlement that I've already paid for a full quarter of the year. It's deceitful and preposterous to conduct a business this way. Either honor the programs for which you are listed or take responsibility for your business decisions with small administrative actions and stop wasting peoples time and money. Getting paid for memberships you're refusing to honor is unacceptable. This is a highly suspicious business practice. I don't have the insight to put together a number, but it seems like someone getting defrauded.

Gym is fine but the billing company they use is terrible. They take you for every penny just to cancel. If you want to play mental gymnastics just to resolve payments then go for it.
