Generation Strong

Generation Strong is the rare gym where anyone — regardless of fitness level or experience — can walk in nervous and leave feeling like they belong. I joined in September 2025 after years of solo home training. I'd hit a plateau and knew I needed guidance to progress safely. My trainer Serenity has been methodical and thorough, introducing me to new movements and lifts while keeping a close eye on my form. Her coaching has kept me healthy and injury-free, and I'm currently midway through a 12-week program she designed for me. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I'm stronger than when I started — and far stronger than I would have been on my own. When a movement hasn't worked for me, she and other trainers have offered modifications that meet me where I am without limiting my growth. The group classes are fun and energizing, and the instruction there is just as attentive. More broadly, the atmosphere at Generation Strong is unlike any gym I've experienced. I'm fairly shy, and I was nervous about the social side of joining a gym — but from day one, people introduced themselves, and I've watched that same warmth extended to every new face since. Trainers offer guidance during open gym without being asked. Nobody's got headphones in signaling "don't bother me." It's a place where people are doing serious work but the door is always open.

I started training here in February, coming in three times a week as a complete beginner to kettlebell and strength training. From day one, Serenity has been incredibly patient and thorough—she takes the time to explain each movement in detail and makes sure I’m doing it correctly. Thanks to her guidance, I’ve not only gotten stronger but also gained so much confidence in myself. What really stands out is the supportive atmosphere. Every trainer I’ve met has been kind, encouraging, and genuinely invested in helping people succeed. Honestly, you’d be lucky to work one-on-one with any of them. This place has been such a positive part of my journey, and I can’t recommend it enough. I've included an example of a Saturday morning group workout; they're always fun!
